Established in 1974, IMA has been connecting management assistants worldwide for the last 50 years. With a strong international presence, IMA connects over 1,300 members across more than 20 countries, cultivating a diverse and dynamic community of professionals.
IMA South Africa NPC, established in 2018 with just 11 members, has grown to proudly represent a thriving network across South Africa and the African continent. IMA South Africa is registered as a Non-Profit Company (NPC) in South Africa (2017/585475/08). Vision and Mission IMA South Africa is committed to the personal and professional growth of management support professionals through high-quality networking, training, webinars and events. As a non-political, self-development organisation, we focus on knowledge-sharing, active member engagement and elevating the role of management assistants. Read more on our homepage. Global & National Governance The IMA Council acts as the consultative and policy-making body, guiding the strategic direction of the Association. The Executive Committee, in turn, is responsible for implementing these decisions and managing day-to-day operations. IMA members play a key role in shaping the Association’s future by participating in Annual General Meetings (AGMs) at both the global and national levels. IMA South Africa members are strongly encouraged to attend this year’s AGM on 2 September.
