The American Embassy was built in 1959 by the Finnish-American star architect Eero Saarinen, and the building was originally intended to be a monument to friendship and serve as a bridge between cultures.​

​In November 2023 the doors to the iconic building reopened as a building with restaurants, and several amazing event venues for both conferences, dinners, VIP meetings and mingle events.

 

Our largest Eventspace can do up to 350 persons for sit down dinner and theater set up for conferences. Eventspace has a large stage and 3 screens (including 1 LED screen 7 x 3 meter)

Here you will also find one of Oslos most impressive event entrances, with mirror in the roof and a 14 square meter LED screen that can be used for pictures or short movie clips.

 

On the top of Ambassaden you will find Eero bar and restaurant and an amazing roof top surrounding Eero, offering amazing views of Oslo. We can take up to 420 guests inside and outside, and up to 170 guests inside.

Here you can enjoy wonderful fingerfood or a sit down dinner if preferred.

 

Vinland Brasserie has become one of Oslos most popular restaurants and can offer two elegant chambres for dinners and meetings. Secret room can take up to 18 persons and Saarinen up to 90 persons.

Our porterhouse steak is famous, but we also serve a wonderful halibut and much more. Vinland has over 250 wines by the glas, and has recently won an international award for their winelist by the glas.

 

Frances is our cosy winebar and here we offer a stylish chambre with lots of lights for meetings up to 16 persons. Here we serve tasty food sharing style inspired by the mediterranean and the middle east.

 

It is possible on request to privatize all restaurants.

 

We have a professional event team who help with everything from coordinating details to running the actual event. Our event kitchen can offer amazing food as well as our restaurants who has their own kitchens with their unique concepts. How about a French style breakfast meeting in Saarinen with Croque monsieurs and macarones? Or a tasty breakfast meeting (continental style) at Eero rooftop.

 

In 2025 we became certified as Miljøfyrtårn and the architects behind the new Ambassaden won the Oslo architectural award in 2024 for the work done with renewing, while at the same time protecting the building.
