Welcome to IMA East's member meeting and summer celebration in June 2025
Together with our Business Member ESS Group and Steam Hotel, we would like to welcome you to IMA's summer closing event.
The Steam Hotel is a sequel to a story that began long ago, at a time when large parts of Sweden were powered by energy from a steam power plant by Lake Mälaren. But over time, society evolved and needs changed. Remained in Västerås was a beautiful old brick building that, with its machines, boilers, and pipes, reminded of a bygone era.
Until now, when the visionaries behind Falkenberg Strandbad, Ystad Saltjöbad, Hotel Pigalle, and Hotel Bellora are channeling their efforts into making the old steam power plant one of the country's leading energy suppliers again. Now in your personal service.
The 18-story high and culturally protected building has that raw feeling that only an industrial building can provide, and you can truly feel the history in the walls. The 263 hotel rooms have a nice industrial-romantic style where raw materials like stone, metal, and concrete are softened with wood, glass, and textiles. Floor number seven is specially designated for gathering strength. Here, there are among other things fire relaxation, indoor pool, winter garden, and rooftop terrace with outdoor pool.
With a pleasant distance from Stockholm's high pulse, in a unique and historical setting with a wide view over Lake Mälaren, a visit to The Steam Hotel becomes an unforgettable experience.
If you want to stay overnight at The Steam Hotel, you can do so at a favorable price of 800 SEK (single room), 1,000 SEK (double room).
